About Us

Black Maple Athletics is a Canadian sports organization that brings people together through sport.

Whether we're running a youth development program, hosting a corporate sports day, or building a custom event from scratch, the focus stays the same: competitive, well-organized experiences people remember.

We were created by the founders of the Kawartha Tri-Sport Tournament, and we've carried that same commitment to quality events into everything we do.

Our roots are in the local sports community. What started as a small gathering of teams has grown into well-run events and programs that bring great facilities, organized competition, and passionate participants together.

At Black Maple Athletics, we don't just host games; we build experiences worth remembering.

A Weekend for Everyone

Competition Format

Our current Tri-Sport Tournament series features men's competitive divisions across hockey, baseball, and golf. We're committed to excellence and growth, with plans to expand and introduce women's divisions in future seasons as we continue to establish ourselves across Ontario.

We're building an inclusive Tri-Sport Tournament series that celebrates athletic excellence for all competitors, and we're excited about the expansion opportunities ahead.

The 13-Man Rule

Our Tri-Sport Tournaments are built around the 13-man roster. That's the sweet spot — enough depth to rotate players across hockey, baseball, and golf without anyone sitting out too long.

That said, rosters are flexible. You can register anywhere from 10 to 20 players — the per-team price stays the same regardless of roster size. With 13 players, it works out to roughly ~$277 per player for three days of multi-sport competition.

Minimum: 10 players (everyone plays a lot)
Recommended: 13 players (optimal balance)
Maximum: 20 players (more subs, more fun)

All players must be 19+ and listed on your roster sheet submitted before the Tri-Sport Tournament.

Family-Friendly

While the competition is strong on the field, our Tri-Sport Tournaments are designed as family-friendly events. Bring your loved ones to enjoy an exciting weekend of sports.
